Prince squash star John White is enjoying sensational start to his international PSA Tour campaign in 2006 after winning two back-to-back titles in the USA.
The former world No1 from Scotland, now based in Philadelphia in the US, cruised through the EBS Dayton Open in Ohio to win the Four Star PSA title after beating Egypt's world junior champion Ramy Ashour in straight games in the final.
Two days later, White began his run in the Davenport Virginia Pro Championship at the University of Richmond in Virginia. Seeded one, White dropped only two games en-route to the final where he faced England's fourth seed Adrian Grant.
"The last game of the last match of this Championship was worthy of the squash that has graced this court all week as both players exhibited the athleticism, racquet skills and sportsmanship that makes them without doubt two of the best players on this planet," said Tournament Director Gus Cook after White claimed his 11-9 11-6 11-9 victory.
John White was delighted with his run of success in his new country of residence: "It's good to be back to winning ways," said the 32-year-old.
The success marked White's fourth major title since adopting the Prince M+ Pro racquet last year. He was also celebrating his 25th appearance in a PSA Tour final, and the 10th PSA title of his career.
